Rushden Creative Learning Partnerships

This project involved artists lead by Jiang Li working with teachers and pupils from Rushden Community College and Alfred Street school.  For a few months, students worked alongside professional artists to learn about Chinese culture.

Topics covered traditional Chinese music, folk dance, paper-cutting, lantern making, Chinese calligraphy, mask painting, story-telling, drama, screen printing.

A final joint performance based on the Chinese legend Chang-er was performed.
