Jiang Li will works with children from the Aby Church of England Primary School, Lincolnshire.
The workshops focus on Chinese Music, Lantern making, paper cutting and calligraphy. Following a talk about music in general, the workshop also introduces Chinese music and a selection of Chinese instruments. The children have given the opportunity of hands-on-experience of these instruments and a chance to make up their own music on Chinese percussions. The topic cover how the different music moods express different emotions and children learn Chinese culture through music enhanced by the Lantern making, paper cutting and calligraphy.
