Lincoln Waterfront Festival

LINCOLN WATERFRONT FESTIVAL

The “Heart Of The Dragon” show will feature at this years festival.

A vast range of professional street theatre, acrobats, musicaians, dancers and entertainers mingle with Water-based shows, including Jet Ski displays, boat parades and boat trips.

Various workshops provide a chance to ‘have-a-go’ and craft markets, food stalls and street cafes add a continental feel to the carnival atmosphere. Attractions planned for 2004 include a 50ft long whale, in which visitors can hear tales of the sea, a Luminarium – a huge sensory experience, and a variety of arts events new to the festival….

A firework finale launched from the water draws the entertainment on Saturday evening to a close.

The 2004 event takes place on the 3rd & 4th July from 12 noon each day, until 10.30pm on the 3rd and until 5pm on the 4th.

The Heart Of The Dragon show includes Chinese traditional music, folk singing, classical dance, and traditional dragon dance. The show brings the true colours of Chinese culture to the city.
