A night of composition and collaboration

A rare opportunity to enjoy this one-night only high profile Chinese-Western collaboration premiering new works by leading composers. It features the established Silk String Quartet (winner of PRS Performance Groups 2007) and the famous British Cellist Matthew Barley performing classical and new pieces.

This exciting and challenging musical fest will premiere specially commissioned works for the Quartet and the Cello by Prof. Peter Wiegold (one of the UK‚ most innovative composers), zither with 50 strings’ and by Barnaby Taylor, (composer for the soundtrack to the BBC series Wild China‚), Tundra Swan. The musicians will also perform a selection of classical repertories including Chinese Flute and Drum at Sunset and Bach‚ Cello solo.
